HCCC Wellness/Health Policies
HCCC strives to maintain a healthy and safe environment for all and as such has policies and protocols in place keeping the health and well being of all consistently in our decision making process. All general wellness, heath, and safety protocols and policies that HCCC is currently practicing have been developed through guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, using their most recent guidance (3/2024) for respiratory illness and in conjunction with our local health care consultant. For more information on these updates please visit https://www.cdc.gov/respiratory-viruses/guidance/respiratory-virus-guidance.html
***Updated 3/2024- Children who have been exposed to COVID-19 and have ANY SYMPTOM at all must have a negative rapid COVID test prior to attending school for the first 3 days of symptoms. The results of this test must be reported to the classroom teacher via Brightwheel prior to arrival. For details on when your child should stay home sick from HCCC, please click here. ***Updated 8/2/2024-Any child that has a cough AND a fever (just a slight cough, runny nose or other minor symptoms do not require a COVID test-however this may be changed based on individual situations) should test for COVID prior to returning to HCCC.
