Our Staff

Administration

Judy doCurral, Executive Director  Judy has been in the early childhood field since 1989.  While she took a short hiatus from the program, she has been with HCCC since 1992.  She has worn many hats here and can truly appreciate all that goes into being an early childhood professional at any stage.  Judy holds a Bachelor's Degree from MCLA and a Master's Degree from the University of South Carolina.  Judy has a passion for working with both children and teachers.  It is exciting for her to see the wonder in a person of any age's face when they discover something new.  In her spare time, Judy enjoys spending time with her family exploring the great outdoors. 

Janelle Montanez, Director Janelle started with HCCC in October of 2005 as a preschool teacher and became the Assistant Director in 2012. In September of 2023 she became the director, handling the day-to-day needs of the program.   She has worked in the early childhood field in various capacities and with various age groups since 1999.  Janelle holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Education and Care from UMass and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Framingham State University.  Janelle's favorite thing about working with young children is watching their delight when accomplishing something new.  When not working, Janelle is a mom of two children. She also loves to bake, and decorate cakes, and (as the children at HCCC know) anything Disney!

Infants

Sara O.  Sara began with HCCC in August of 1998 and has been here ever since.  Sara is a graduate of Holliston High School and has completed course work at both Mass Bay Community College and Wheelock College.  She also holds EEC Lead Teacher Infant/Toddler certification.  Sara enjoys working with young children and sharing in their happiness, as well as loving them every opportunity she gets.  Sara comes from a very large family, with lots of children.  She also feels as though HCCC is her extended family and loves what she does. 

Emily H. Emily began with HCCC in April of 2016 as a teacher’s aide before joining as a full-time staff member in June of 2021. Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from the University of Rhode Island. She also holds EEC Lead Teacher Infant/Toddler and Preschool Teacher certification. Emily loves working with children and observing the growth in development that happens throughout infancy. When Emily is not at HCCC you can find her teaching dance in Franklin, cuddling with her three cats, and spending time with her friends and family.

Toddlers

Eileen M. Eileen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Framingham State University, class of 1989. She began working in the field in high school, at the Lexington Children’s Center and then continued her teaching career at the Arlington Children’s Center. Eileen has worked with many age groups from toddlers-preschoolers. In 1999, she took a hiatus to raise her own children. In 2017, she joined HCCC. Eileen loves observing the growth in development that happens over toddler-hood, and truly enjoys the wonder in their expression during conversation! When not teaching, Eileen loves being outdoors by the ocean, power walking, yoga, and exercising. She also shares special friendships with amazing women in her bible studies group, and loves spending time with her now adult children.

Ursula R. D. Ursula joined HCCC in 2022, and is excited to be a member of the toddler team! She has worked with infants through preschoolers in a group setting for many years. Ursula has also worked with special needs students as a paraprofessional/1:1 as an ABA behavior technician. She holds an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master’s degree in elementary education and severe special needs. She has recently moved to Holliston with her two young adult sons, and is happy to be working so close to home!

Preschool

Sara W., Preschool 1 Sara started with HCCC in September of 2022, and has been teaching since 2003. She has early childhood coursework at Middlesex Community College and Lesley University. Some of her favorite activities with young children involve reading with them, doing art projects, and watching them explore nature. When Sara is not teaching, she loves to go for hikes. She also loves to watch the Red Sox and the Patriots, as well as cheer on her oldest son in basketball! She is loving watching her youngest son as he enjoys his first year of preschool! She has always enjoyed teaching young children and feels privileged to have a job that allows her to do so! 

Rena C., Preschool 1 Rena started with HCCC in September of 2022. She is a high school graduate, and has a goal of obtaining her EEC certification. Her favorite thing about working with young children is watching them grow and develop. She feels that they are always fun to work with and be around! When not at work, she loves to spend time with peers in her neighborhood that she has grown up with. She also enjoys going on walks with dogs and her friend when she is able. She feels very excited to be a member of the HCCC team and community!

Erin H., Preschool 1 Erin started with HCCC in September 2022. She is certified by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care to teach infants through preschoolers. Her favorite part of working with young children is interacting with them, reading stories, and just having fun! She also loves seeing their reactions and imaginations when they engage in play. When not teaching, Erin loves to be around her family and loved ones. She especially loves to interact and spend time with her infant son, Maverick. They take walks together, and enjoy being outdoors! 

Kathy N., Preschool 2  Kathy has been a part of HCCC since 2007.  She is a graduate of King Phillip Regional High School, has completed coursework at Mass Bay Community College and holds EEC Teacher certification.  Kathy has also completed zoo educator teacher training at Roger Williams Park Zoo and has been sharing her strong passion for the natural world with both children and adults since 1980.  Kathy loves sharing in the children's sense of wonder of the world around them, their sense of excitement, and when they share what they know.  She loves their laughter, silliness, and hugs.  When not working, Kathy enjoys sharing time outdoors with her teenage children.  She also enjoys restoring/decorating antique homes, gardening, and her pets.  

Anna P., Preschool 2  Anna has been with HCCC since June 2014.  She has worked in the early childhood field for 15 years and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Framingham State University.  Anna's favorite thing about working with young children is their witty sense of humor and their love for the simple things in life.  Anna grew up on the Cape and is a mom to a 23 year old son.  She also recently got married and loves spending time with her new husband, children and stepchildren, and her cat.

Kerri C., Part-Time Preschool  Kerri has worked with children since she was in high school and has been with HCCC since 1996.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree from UMass Amherst.  Kerri loves working with young children because they always make her laugh.  Kerri is truly a member of the HCCC family, as her mother also worked at HCCC for almost twenty years!

Sandy A., Part-Time Preschool  Sandy first began in the early childhood field with HCCC in 2000.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business from SUNY at Fredonia and a Certificate in Early Childhood from Mass Bay Community College.  Sandy feels that working with young children keeps her young and makes her smile.  In her spare time, Sandy loves to travel with her family.  She has visited both Europe and Asia, but tropical locations are her favorite.  She has also lived in 7 states! 

Laurie S., Part-Time Preschool  Laurie began in the early childhood field with HCCC in 1999, and worked here for ten yers.  After a brief time in another program, she came back to us in 2013.  Laurie holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston College.  Working with children helps Laurie see the world through their eyes and to truly appreciate the little things in life that our adult eyes might normally miss.  In her spare time, Laurie enjoys riding horses, reading, and practicing  yoga. 

PreK/Kindergarten

Becky P., PreK Becky comes to HCCC with an Associate’s Degree in early childhood from Mass Bay Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Framingham State University. She loves working with young children because every day is different. She loves watching children interact with and maneuver their environment and feels that their creativity and imagination is inspiring and she truly enjoys exploring and learning alongside the children. When Becky is not teaching, she loves to make jewelry, cook, and scrapbook. She also spends her time down the cape with her husband and her dog Poppy, and loves to be near the water. Becky loves the outdoors and feeling connected with nature because she grew up going on long camping trips….in tents!

Carol Q., PreK  Carol has been a part of HCCC since September of 2013 and has worked with young children since 1990.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Lesley University.  Carol loves all of the fun she has with young children as well as their enthusiasm for learning!  Carol lives here in Holliston and has two school age children of her own. 

School-Age

Natasha P. Natasha has been with HCCC since 2013 and has been in the early childhood field since 2011. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Regis College and holds EEC Infant/Toddler Teacher and Preschool Lead Teacher certification. Natasha loves watching the children grow into individuals that have unlimited potential. When she observes a child accomplish something new she feels a great personal achievement as an educator. Natasha has wanted to be an educator for as long as she can remember and would often play school as a child. She feels grateful to work with young children each day and truly enjoys each moment!

Jill G.  Jill joined HCCC in September of 2014 and has been working with young children since 1986.  From 2002-2005, Jill ran her own in-home preschool program, "Jack and Jill's Playtime".  Jill is a graduate of Boston University and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  Jill loves working with young children because they make her laugh and keep her young.   Jill is a mom to three children ages 21, 18, and 13.  She enjoys free time spent with family and friends.  

Floating Teachers

Frances L.  Fran began working with HCCC in November of 2014.  Prior to HCCC, she had worked with young children since 2003.  Fran is a graduate of Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School.  Fran loves working with infants because of the pleasure she gets watching their personalities blossom and being a part of each new milestone they meet.  Just walking into the room brightens her day!  Fran comes from a fairly large family and is the youngest of six girls.  She also has a large extended family.  Having such a large family has fueled her desire to work with young children. 

Brandy S. Brandy has been with HCCC since August 2018, and has been in early education since 1998. She holds an associate’s degree in early childhood, and a bachelor’s and master’s degree in early education. She is certified by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care as a lead teacher for infants through preschool, and also holds director II certification. Her favorite part of teaching young children is sharing in the excitement when they accomplish something they have been working at or on for a long time. When she is not teaching, Brandy loves to bake, take photos, walk in the woods, and travel around New England!
